http://www.ursa.ucla.edu University Records System Access (URSA) gives UCLA students, and those who have been students within the past 10 years, real-time access to their official University academic records. In addition, students may set up and manage third-party access for others to access their data and Billing and Receivable (BAR) account. URSA is available Sunday night from 6 p.m. through Tuesday at 1 a.m. and Tuesday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m., including holidays. With its intuitive visual interface, URSA is the easiest way to enroll in classes and to gain real-time access to academic, financial, and personal records. URSA is a secure encrypted site; records are confidential. Users access URSA by using their UCLA Logon ID and password. This personal logon information should not be given to anyone. Tampering with another student’s enrollment or personal data is subject to disciplinary action up to and including suspension. Users create and manage their individual UCLA Logon ID and password at https://logon.ucla.edu. Passwords can be changed and reset, and security questions can be set up to help users remember their passwords. Features URSA is the central repository for access to official student records. Students have access to the following academic, financial, and personal records: Academic
Financial
Personal
Third-Party Access Students can authorize third parties to have view-only access to their student records and direct access to their BAR account. A third party establishes his or her own separate UCLA Logon ID and password, communicates this logon information (name and UCLA Logon ID) directly to the student, and the student selects which URSA features the third party can view or access. Students may revoke access, or change access features, at any time. Students are advised of their FERPA rights, and they must check a box indicating that they understand they are waiving FERPA for student-designated third parties. Third parties must use URSA to access the features selected by the student. With the exception of financial information, no other non-directory student information may be released to third parties by any University staff over the phone or in person. |
