What is CIMS?

The Course Inventory Management System is a Registrar's Office online application used to manage over 10,000 courses in the UCLA course inventory, and to direct their routing through a complex course approval process.

Who can access CIMS?

CIMS access is limited to department faculty and staff who propose and/or make changes to courses, as well as divisional faculty and staff who process approvals.

Can I access CIMS from any computer?

Yes, as long as the computer is connected to the Internet. CIMS works with Internet Explorer 5.5 or above only.

How can I get training to use CIMS?

Contact Leann Hennig, 56704 or Kathleen Copenhaver, 67045. The CIMS system contains extensive built-in help.
