California residence for tuition purposes is regulated by the UC Office of General Counsel, which also publishes official residence policy and guidelines.

Regulations defining California residence for purposes of tuition and fees are exactly the same for all University of California campuses. California residence is determined by each campus residence deputy, or on appeal by the Office of General Counsel (OGC).
